I know people sometimes say “You just can’t make this stuff up.” Well sometimes that is just what I do—I can’t help it—-Pairing of shapes, intermingling positive and negative spaces, decorative patterns, a pleasing color palette, and putting unrelated objects together —all the while letting one thing lead to another—-just brings me joy. Butterflies often just land on things—I do as well—so here is my nature inspired image “Butterflies and Bones” with beautiful Pearl Charaxes Butterflies and lumbar vertebrae.
4 Pearl Emperor Charaxes butterflies rest on a collection of 16 human backbone lumbar vertebrae on a brown coffee stain patterned background in this unique butterfly and bone mandala. Pearl emperor butterflies have broad brown, orange, and yellow speckled wings with glowing white inner wing patches and a white body. At rest with wings folded—their wings mimic a brown leaf. They are fast and highflyers in many different habitats on the eastern coast of Africa and in Saudi Arabia. Take flight to find over 800 butterfly images @ phelpsmandala.com.
Enjoy beauty in all you see wherever you go. Always my best, Tim
